Nurturing Native Hawaiian Growth and Wellbeing

The Lo’i Collective Foundation champions Native Hawaiian communities by fostering sports, mental health, culture, and sustainability initiatives that uplift and empower underserved families. Here are some of our recent accomplishments.

The Reed Sunahara Volleyball Camp

The Reed Sunahara Volleyball Camp in Hilo on August 9-10, 2025.

Papakolea Kupu’ae Kauwela Collaboration

The Lo’i Collective partnered with Papakolea Community Development Center’s Kupu’ae Kauwela Program to provide the ‘opio of Papakolea homestead a two week clinic of kinipopo popa’ipa’i. From the classroom to the court opio were equipped with the basic history, skill and knowledge of volleyball.

Backdrive

The TLC Foundation partnered with Hawaii Interscholastic Athletic Director Association with a backpack drive. Hawaii Athletic Directors donated over 100 backpacks and $110 cash. All backpacks and money was given to the Boys and Girls Club of Kauai.

Coach H Scholarship

Our Coach H Scholarship has helped high school teams and club teams across the state off set equipment as well as helping offset travel costs.

Kanu Girls Volleyball Classic

Kanu O Ka Aina New Public Charter School’s girls volleyball team recently hosted their first-ever pre-season tournament, welcoming nine teams from across Hawai’i Island, California, and Oʻahu. This exciting event allowed athletes to gain valuable experience and prepare for the upcoming season.
